Almost Home

For anyone who traveled far and found only the evening sky the same color as home. The island floating above the clouds is probably no one's hometown. Yet watching its rooftops soak in pastel dusk, you catch the scent of the road home. A bowed string like an erhu can sound far away and close at the same time. Remembering a place you can't return to and wanting to go home are slightly different things.
