Only the Reverberation

For the night when it feels like everything is over. Written for the silence after the sound disappears in an abandoned concert hall. People, buildings, relationships, time — all pass eventually. Not losing is the strange state; losing is the ordinary one. Listen to a single piano note stretching long and disappearing into the room. It vanishes but doesn't cease — the time spent listening did exist. Tonight, too, will become reverberation. That's enough. Good night.
